Well, she doesn't. She looks at lots of photos, likes them all, then turns back to work on her dissertation having accomplished nothing wedding-related but happily riding the endorphin boost of looking at pretty bouquets. But then she realizes that there are only 70 days until the wedding and decides to really try and make some progress.
After a bit of thinking, I decided that I wanted to keep the dark pink, the purples, and the blue, but add some white and maybe a bit of yellow to lighten and brighten it up. Here's what my Google searching dug up:

Now, the tricky part. My untrained eye looks at these bouquets and thinks they're all pretty similar. But my florist will notice all the differences and want to know which one of these pictures is closest to what I want. So what do I do? Stick with the gerbera daisies in #1, which I love? Switch to a softer, looser bouquet like #2, which I also love? Go for lots of white like #3, or mostly colored like #4?
Which is your favorite?

can't you keep the daisies, but somehow make the arrangement loose? also some of these bouquets look kinda large, like they would get heavy, so you might want to go slightly smaller on the # of flowers if you're worried about that kind of thing.
Color Me Green, that's a good idea -- all of the gerbera daisy bouquets I saw online were pretty tightly structured, but that doesn't mean they have to be. I'll ask my florist.
And I'm definitely with you on the size of the bouquets. I don't want to be lugging around a ten-pound bunch of flowers all day!
For some reason, my eye was immediately drawn to #2. Gorgeous!
I am loving these. They definitely go with your "look" a lot better! I agree on making them slightly smaller. I liked #3 the best (although I would add more colour) but seriously all of them rule!
Also I was doing a bunch of gardening yesterday and was inspired at the gardening store--have you looked at all at begonias? Amazing assortment of colours and shapes. Could totally work with a "vintage" feel.
Abbie, #2 is my mom's favorite as well -- the colors and the texture are so soft and vibrant!
accordionsandlace, I think my favorite thing about #3 is the lilacs. Our neighbors had a big lilac bush when I was a kid, and when they bloomed, I'd stop by and stick my face in the bush and breathe in the scent. Those purple and white tulips are amazing too! Begonias are a great idea, not least because they're my grandmother's favorite.
I love #2 - such deep, vibrant colors, and very sophisticated-looking. I love Gerber daisies, too, but I'm not sure that they fit with the feeling of this bouquet.
Great colors, all.
